Okay, jus' went outside n' checked the '04 in the driveway n' discovered a Velcro "fuzzy" strip (no "hook" strip attached) under the section of top that overlaps the rear window. One on each side.
Craig, if you wouldn't'a asked this question it's likely that I'd never've known I had those two strips under there.
I've had my Stewie for jus' shy of 2 years n' if the missin' "hook" strips've made any difference I'm not aware of it. But then, I wasn't aware of the existence of them in the first place.
I've godda presume that it's a sound buffer for that particular flap of top possibly doin' a tap dance on the glass when the wind is jus' right. If that's the case, then I imagine that the "hook" portion of the strip is to be removed. Maybe.
Bottom line is I dunno, but it doesn't appear to've hurt anything in almost 2 years of my experience with it.
If nothin' else, you've got company.
