Different pistons, sleeves, connecting rods... long list. The very nature of the F20c is designed to have a flat (albeit fairly low) torque curve but extending over a very long rpm range (very motorcycle like). In order for the 'bottom end' to achieve the piston speeds needed to hit 8900rpm, it needs to have the composite reinforcement of the F20c.
