In my short 22 years on this planet I have not come across any older "folk" that had poor literary skills. Since its the internet I am going to tell you that was a very sarcastic remark I just made.
I do appreciate you lumping an entire generation into one group.
Maybe its the fact that the internet is a very informal place so as long as the point gets across who cares how it is typed? I shouldnt say that it obviously bothers you so you care.
