S2000 Forums - View Single Post - Looking at buying S2000 ....any comments ?

I am looking at a 2001 with 64K miles which appears to be in very good shape only mod is CAI. I am looking to make this my Solo2 car and am switching from srt4 to this car. Any comments on any problems areas etc to be aware of would be welcome. I drove it briefly and had the salesman scared just driving easily around an open parking lot. Man , that redline is crazy. I really liked the car but was limited on how hard to push it. Everything seemed tight and drove great but I did notice that 3rd was a little hard to find. Also does any one know if a 17 x 8 wheel with 45mm offset on a 5 x 100mm pattern would fit ? If so would V710 245's fit?

Thanks for any ideas on this car and what I would like to use it for.
