Installing the Mugen takes about 1 hour. You don't remove anything but the stock exhaust header. The Mugen has all the necessary parts enclosed. You keep the catalytic converter because the exhaust is tuned for it being there. If it's removed, you are going to have some interesting problems. AFIK, all Cat-back systems bolt up directly to the converter. (I have the Mugen header and a CompTech cat-back. They work fine with the stock catalytic converter)
