Trouble with my new 03
Hi, I just purchased a used 03 s2000 with a rebuilt title. It was a theft recovery. I have had it about a few months and I notice that the right passenger rear of the car is about a 1/4 inch higher then the left side of the car. When I quickly release the gas pedal and then accelerate the car pulls. Is this an easy fix??? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Usually this happens when one rear tire has a different air pressure than the other rear tire. You might check that. It could also happen if one rear tire has a larger circumference than the other (i.e., one rear tire is newer than the other). This would be harder to counter, but air pressure may help. In the 2nd case, you would want different air pressures to counter the difference in circumference, but this is not the best solution since your pressure will change and the tire heats up. The best way would be to buy two new rear tires. Worst case scenario is that there is a problem with your diff or axle shafts.
It could be that the frame is bent from an accident, but I have never had to deal with that.

I just went into the garage and measured the tire height at the rear and surprise the right rear is 1/4 inch taller then the left. Not only that but it is a completely different brand. I know how stupid can I be? thanks a bunch. I was worried that it might have been something more serious
Might want to hurry up to change it. Not sure if 1/4 in is to much but from what i understand its not good our LSD rear end.I would have to say its enough to mess something up over time if you can feel it pulling.I'm sure someone can confirm or deny or go more in to detail about this, but we cant even run our spare donut on the rear????????
