You are at the point where you can (and probably should) switch to synthetic. A lot of people use Mobil 1 10w-30. I use Redline 20w-50 but as long as Royal Purple meets the API requirements, you should be good to go.

Find a dealer you can trust or look for a good local mechanic. Buy Honda oil filters by the case from hondaautomotiveparts.com or handa-accessories.com (they cost less and you're using the recommended part and make sure you get the proper gasket as well). As long as the oil is changed according to the scheduled maintenance or when the idiot light says it's time, you shouldn't have any warranty problems.

It works to make money for the people who sell it to you. It doesn't do anything for the car. If it worked, it would be installed on every car in the universe. The only quick and easy fix to get better gas mileage is at the end of your right leg...
