I'll speak for my post as well, I didn't know the details other than comparing S2000 with Boxster, so I spoke about my experience when searching. The assumptions I made were the ones I had to make to continue to give any detail other than the fact that one costs more, and one's built in Germany while the other is built in Japan.
To me, you asked an honest question, so I approached it with what I knew hoping you'd be able to draw from my experiences. If you had to take anything away from my post, I hope it's this:
I drove 4 boxsters on 4 separate occasions including a Boxster S.
I drove the S2000 once. I bought the S2000 the same day.
