I had ceramic pads on my mr2, and switched to carbon metalic pads due to a recommendation on an mr2 forum. It felt like I had better brake feel. Can't say I saw more or less brake dust. Then again I was living in Washington at the time and it rained the majority of the time I was out there, needless to say cleaning my wheels every day wasn't one of my priorities.
