It definitely didn't have the road feel of the S. It is probably going to outrun the S in straight lines in street races because of the torque, because most S drivers dont want to do 6000rpm launches. Oh yeah, and before I forget... the S2000 is a convertible from the ground up. The vert Z (which I've also test driven) is no comparison.
As to the 540... it's a bit unfair to compare it to a 4L V8 for torque, but I guess any automotive comparison is basically "fair" to make in the end.
