S2000 Forums - View Single Post - Friend may want to buy my car, how much do I ask?

Hey guys,
So my friend asked me the other day if I wanted to sell my car to him. He has loved the S2000 for ALOT longer than I have and he's the one who got me into a dealership to test drive an S..and I was hooked from then on. Anyway, he knows the story behind the salvage title, how much blood, sweat and tears I've put into this project, and he knows it is not perfect. It still needs some parts here and there, new paint in areas, etc. But we both do not know how much it would be worth if I were to sell it on the street.
Of course I would be fair and he doesnt want to pay an insane amount for it. So do you guys think you could help me out in this very arbitrary situation? I have been looking on the classifieds here and would maybe put the money into a newer s2000...i'm not sure.
So the car is a 2000 black/black, top is in great condition, straight frame, perfect interior, 22,500 miles, salvage title, AEM v2 CAI, carbon fiber hood, OEM hood, cd changer in trunk, conv. top tonneau cover, 17" ADR white Sokudo 10 wheels/TOYO tires, JDM clear headlights. Really drives strong and has a really nice interior. It would make an awesome race car/project for someone who has the time and money. Some kid offered me $10K for it last year, but I wasn't selling it at the time, mostly because I was still bent about paying $9K for the car, and close to $12K to rebuild it.
Thanks for any input you guys can give me. If I tell my friend a price, and he doesnt want to pay, I'll just keep it.
