If you could find a light weight battery that could manage all the accessories it would be a good thing. But as I said before I tried and Odyssey PC925 which is an AGM type(the civic preferred) size and it did not last. It was 26 amp/hr and weighed 20 lbs., as apposed to the stock flooded electrolyte battery which has 36 am/hr capacity and weighs close to 40 lbs. Most AGM chemistry batteries require to be kept at full charge or they will sultanate. To do this it needs to be on a charger whenever it is not being driven. Not very practical. They start the car fine but have short lifespans and cost a lot more than the flooded electrolyte antique we have. I have been investigating Lithium Ion technology. It has all the possibilities to produce a 10 pound battery but will require some electronics to regulate the charging regime.
