I drove the Boxster a 2001 model and to be honest I wasn't that impressed. I had a DC5 Honda Integra Type R (also 2001) which felt just as fast. Drove the S2000 and immediately noticed a difference. Now, I'm far from being an expert.
Another thing I noticed is that in the Boxster nobody looks twice at the car. Everywhere I go in the S2k it turns heads. Am I the only one who thinks the baby Porsche is not that nice looking?
The Porsche will hold its value better than any other car in it's class but as said here it costs a lot more to service etc than the Honda.
I've read magazine reports say the Boxster is better on the limit and that the S2k is twitchy on the limit. Have you ever driven a car on the limit on the road?
One final thing I'd say, people who buy a baby Porsche do so because they cannot afford a 911. It says I don't have enough Dough (as Homer J. would say)
What's your opinion on the BMW Z4 3.0? I drove that as well and found it better that the Porsche too.
