The Boxster is an attempt by Porsche to sell cars to the average Joe. It's an "entry level" car for them and alot of people buy them so they can say they own a Porsche. It's got the Porsche name but not the performance of it's big brothers. It's a modern day version of the 914. I tried to forget the 914 but it's stuck in that unerasable part of my brain with things like disco and root canals.
