At http://www.pattakon.com/ a new Continuously Variable Valve Actuation system is presented, with working prototype photos, plots and animations (even stereoscopic ones).

It is like Honda's VTEC or Toyota's VVTLi, just with infinite steps starting from zero.

Any engine, racing or normal, can be improved, even the champion S2000.
Its maximum power output can be higher and at the same time its torque curve can be more flat and strong along the whole rev range.
But the big difference from the original engine is at low revs and partial loads. Smooth, economic, clean and driver friendly.
