Phil, I ain't heard about that in a dog's age. The story that I most use'ta hear was that it was a mid-west law-enforcement agency that had ordered-up '59s n' then a couple 'r three involved in high-speed pursuit got ass-end airborne with, not surprisingly, some nasty results.
They were heavy buses, but . . that's alodda wing, y'know?
Though I godda admit, I never heard anything official aboudditt. But then, back then it wouldn't be too hard to imagine GM keepin' it quiet, but I don't know for sure one way 'r the other.
