Wasn't that the ultimate result of Enzo reneggin' on his deal to sell Ferrari to Ford?
Ford wanted some serious Le Mans machinery (the Cobras were kickin' butt in their division n' beyond, but they weren't the top dogs n' the Ford suits wanted their blue oval on the fastest stuff out there) n' when Enzo flip-flopped on the deal, Ford said " Ya know whut?" n' went to considerable lengths to make ol' Enzo eat that decision.
