As for the problem, is anyone aware'a the '02 bein' any different suspension-wize than any of the other AP1s? Ta the best'a my knowledge there were no changes to make the '02 any different than any other AP1, leastwize not until the AP2 came along.
I still godda go with somethin' bein' seriously out with the alignment possibly due to damage prior to your ownership.
