I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Art Arfons died last week. He was 81. For those of you that may not have heard of him, he held the land speed record 4 or 5 times back in the 60's with a car called the Green Monster.

Here's a slightly newer shot of Art and the Green Monster............

and he was a sports car guy............
