ahh... pardon me for not being more clear. If you do not fall under the category of 50-60 who doesn't drive the car hard ever then you have nothing to feel 'offended about'.
I'm not sure what you think my age is, but being 53 really isn't 'that' old; my post was complaining about people your age and older who
do not drive the car. It just seems like a waste of such amazing engineering. Nor am I referring to not driving like a stupid young punk either. I've never had a single ticket in my life, and most definitely will never get one for speeding. If I want to go nuts, we do have some tracks out here (Miller Raceway, RMR, etc) or even the dreaded salt flats out west a bit. Who's up for testing Stewwie's top speed at some 4200 feet altitude?
The people who frustrate me are the ones who on a sunny warm day drive around the more 'exciting' routes around going 10mph below the speed limit. One lady comes to mind who I ran into last summer. We were on Van Winkle Expressway (if you know where that is). Perfect gorgeous sunny day, and I get blockaded in by 3 cars - a Pontiac passenger car on my left, silver AP2 in front, and misc passenger car on my right. All 3 were doing no more than 40mph on a road that has a posted speed limit of 50/60.
In contrast, I have seen an older Japanese-looking man in Sandy with either a white or black AP1, he drives like a crazed monster on the twisties, it's great!

In fact I recall seeing him on one of my Big Cottonwood Canyon runs as well. If only I could be a crazy old Japanese guy when I'm his age
I am gauging these folks age because I remember all my life ago when my grandparents were around 60 and these men and women look around that same age group. Can't use my parents because Dad looks 15 years older than he is, and mom looks 10 years younger than she is.
Though truthfully I could have even put my dad into that 'annoying' bracket (didn't because he does not own an S2000). He used to do lots of motorcycle racing, and some stoplight racing in the early 70's, but so long as I've been around he doesn't appreciate anything that goes fast or turns well.
Anyways, again I apologize for anyone who felt offended that I'm not a fan of turning S2000's into grocery-getters or Sunday-drivers... it's just always seemed that if you bought an S2000, you did so because you enjoyed it's pep and awe-inspiring handling, so seeing people who can't even maintain the posted speed limits and have to come to a full stop mid turn makes baby koalas cry.
