Other S2000 site

Why are so many of the members on the other site so immature and rude?
Is it because their average age is 23?

Respect ...............lack off
Mostly people join sites like s2000 forum to learn and to educated to some degree about the vehicle they are interested in ,or have recently purchased.
Be open minded and accept the good and leave the bad.
There are respectfull people on this site, so when new guests do join have that thought in mind........................and everything else will take its place.

I respect Go and Xviper on s2kca. They don't bash and their 2 cents of info and knowledge is worth $$. But this site is where I feel at home. (Can you feel the warm fuzzies yet?)

s2kca is a good site, but a bit arrogant like everyone has stated. i am an avid user of s2ki.com. you can find anything and everything there, everyone is respectful it seems like there is more information and users on that site.

I see what you mean about the other sites, but they are still a good source of information and there are guys there with a lot of knowledge. You just have to dig past the stuff thats irelevant.

Rick006 was probably hawking unobtanium bolts (not that that's a BAD thing) and he probabaly got his chops busted.
Much like converter shell salesman.
Being young does not automatically make you rude.
But being old does automatically make you cool!

All the S2000 sites are important. I frequent them all.

I know I ain't tellin' anybody nothin' when I say that there'z alodda amassed knowledge n' know-how on the other sites 'z'well'z this one.
But this one's where I cut my 'puta-teeth n' certainly where my loyalties lie.('Don't hurt that Sam sometimes fergit'z a wee bi'a me bartab too.)
N' if some'a the sites require that ya take some static about askin' a question, well . . . . . the payin'a dues comez in many formz donnitt? Ta get whu'cha want, sometimes there'z a price ta pay. 'All dependz on how bad ya wannitt.
Truth be told, I've ventured out past the site'z fences onto a number'a sites. Stewie sites n' other marques too.
Ya wanna see fur fly, you should see the site white-cells gather to erase my existence when I keep the keyboard set ta Java-speak. If memory serves me, our own Go-man intervened once ta offer up translation n' buy me some time ta allow me ta find the nearest exit while the gatherin' mob wuz distracted findin' large stones n' lightin' torches.
I still go out now'n'agin . . but I usually dress like bobby.

I'm not sure why you would say that S2KCA is "arrogant". One of the better run, more welcoming, NON-FLAMING S2000 boards around (no JJ, though). Perhaps you meant to say, well-run, polite and welcoming but misspelled it . S2ki seems to have a younger demographic (with the exception of the Vintage Forum and the Muppet Forum) and the messages reflect that. Watching people write "naughty" words is similar to seeing the graffiti on bathroom walls...I'm a member of 3 S2000 boards, this is one of them. I like it here because of the atmosphere and people. I like S2KCA because of the respect and no-flaming policies (and XViper) and I like S2ki because of the Vintage group. Something for everyone if you just look for it. (In the interest of fairness, I am the Southeastern Regional Director on S2KCA, a position I ran for because of the board policies).

Sorry, I can't agree with the original post. I've had contact with at a few S2KCA members and said persons were very cordial and extremely helpful.

What is funny to me is that when I read the OP, I assumed he meant S2Ki. I never would think that of S2KCA. I feel that is BY FAR the more mature of the two sites.

What I really like here (besides all'a you'z) is that thhere isn't all kinds of flash and banners and crap on the tail end of every post. It was kinda cool the first few times but it got old real quick. Just my opinion.

i think s2kca is to sheltered. there are good ppl on that site, but it limites you to specific regions which i dont like. s2ki is more diverse imo. but to each his own.

It's killing me not to post something on this topic. Bottom line is S2Ki is a generally younger crowd with less respect and S2KCA always has some kind of drama going on either in public or behind the scenes and they aren't as respectful as people think. If you were behind the scenes as much as I was, you would know that I could post another 10 paragraphs on it.

I think this site has a very diverse age range, but the weight is younger (according to the age poll thread). However, the tone is family. When I first bought my 03 in 06 I of course surfed around to find stuff and hit other sites, and got blasted for my naive enthusiasm. Later I had a question come up and found here, and the question was answered well and fully, and I've been stuck hangin' with Sam as my bartender ever since. I've learned a heck of a lot here, too - and you can of course learn lots on the other sites and there are gem people there too, but it seems less painful to distill the nuggets here. Good chaff engine, you might say...

i havent been on here that long on this site, but i get the warm and fuzzy on the s2ki site. i think it all depends on where you search and who you associate yourself with. i live in st. louis missouri and the gateway region on s2ki is amazing. i am 23 yrs old and i am the youngest person in the group. there is a huge diversity of people here in st. louis and its amazing. s2kca does have a "snotty" attitude to it when i post on topics like they are better than myself.

I thought he ment s2ki too, sometimes i feel like a question will be answered faster on there just because there so many more users and at any given time there more people viewing the site but alot of times people wont respond to a question...I like both sites and go back and fourth between the two...

I got banned some time in the last week on S2Ki. I last posted there 6 days ago. I just got back from my 5 day trip last night and noticed it today. Don't even know what I did wrong. Kinda pisses me off.

People on this site strike me as the kind of people I'd want to
sit down and have a cup of coffee (java?) or maybe a beer with.

More thought than attitude.

I have nothing against anyone there. I met a few people on the last drive and everyone was cool and have an invite for this Saturday's drive posted on there as well. It seems it's just the mgmt and their "for-profit" ways that makes them mistreat contributors to their community.

I just went an created a new profile so that I can continue. I have no desire to give them money for a membership that gives me no value, just like S2KCA. This forum is free and the people are great. Nothing else is needed!!

Vez, were you posting like Levaines? I can see where an attitude like that may give you the boot elsewhere. We really try to help, but when one doesn't listen, the claws may come out. It's kinda fun in a joking way but I don't think that we really flame people (too much) when they don't want to play nice. Just trying to keep peace on the playground.

"And there's us old farts. Iron Butterfly, Black Sabbath, Cream, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Hendrix etc, etc. 'Course, I'm kinda a twisted old fart, like Metallica, Tool, AIC, Sevendust, Shinedown, Godsmack, just about any metal. Yup, sick ol fart... Eh mahn, can't be fergettin Bob Marley "

Dunno Red, we simply, absolutely godda siddown n' discuss the requirement'z'a bein' 'n ol' fart.
We're all older'n we've ever been, but you don' sound quite that old.
I'll see yer Budderfly n' Co. n' raise you Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, the Mills Brotherz, Loiue Prima n' Keeley Smith, Patsy Cline, Ace Cannon, Bill Haley n' the Comets, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino . . well, you probably get my drift.
But, I certainly doo look forward to the opportunity to throw a few back while discussin' it, y'know?
Be well n' don' rush things. It'll happen soon enough.

Is it a bad thing that I'm 22 and I know Who sings that song?
