I talked to a guy who owns a convertible shop here in FL. He says that the waxes and polishes work, but only if the discoloration is at the surface level. If the rear window is badly discolored, get up close to it and see if you can tell if it is in between the layers. Apparently the rear window is just a bunch of thin plastic layers that are glued together. The "Milky" color is the adhesive reacting to sunlight / folding of the top. The only way to truely remedy this is to find a totaled 2002-2005 and hock the frame and rag top off of it. This will give you a glass rear window.
