If you want it for looks and *possibly* to increase handling, then go ahead.

They're pretty much just for looks. I haven't seen any scientific proof that they do/don't help handling. They simply bolt on and so couldn't possibly give much safety or stiffness. The bars look thin and scrawny.

I personally thing a hardtop would be a better way to spend the money. I can't find the links I was looking for talking about how useless the bar is (other than aesthetics), so here's one I DID find, although the source is definitely not always reliable:

I'm also aware some sanctioned racing events won't allow them when 4 point rollcages are required, because of the curved sections.
