3,000 Mile Update!
Hey guys been a while, I can't stop driving it lol
so far I've had her for 2 months and 8 days and I'm at 3,000 miles
I haven't had any major troubles except a nail in the tire (bastard) and she's at the dealer today getting an acid wash because I couldn't clay bar the fall out off the paint. But she's great and I'm loving life!!!
Kudos...I live in the bay area and I routinely drive the back road home from work. It's a little 2 lane highway that runs about 6 miles to my house. The views are great, turns are tight, and hardly anyone drives it... It's the best way to end the day. Only 10k in 10 months but I redline it everyday.
sonic,
You are right, there is no other way to drive, that's why I got it!!! I do know this guy that bought one and he was unhappy about the rev factor of the car...he was also a bit worried about the engine if you did that all the time but I told him to just relax and put his foot down. He pussed out and got a bmw z4 3.0, his loss!

Hmmm, Ive driven both, and have to disagree. The Boxter (ok, it was an "s") was funner, more sporty-fealing. . . I have to admit, the only reason I bought the S2000 instead of the Boxter, was the ******* factor. As for the bimmers, I'm sure they're all-right, they're just so ugly.
And yes the Z4 looks better than the boxter.
As far as bmw vs porsche I would go the route of Cayman S insead of M Coupe. These were the other cars I was looking at when I got my S2000. I am planning on buying a Cayman S in about 2 years (don't worry I am keeping my S2000 until I break the thing...) because that car is just awsome and you can easily have that tuned to near 911 performance and still come in under 100k. I got the S2000 because I like the soft top and I am using it as my everyday driver. I probably won't drive the porshe everyday and the bmw would be too expensive as an everyday driver given that for 32k I got my brand spankin new S2000. I know that the bmw will rip the S2000 a new one but it is also not as fun to drive for me. The Cayman S has a similar feel to the S2000 but it goes one step further. It is definatley a finesse car that is about carrying momentum like the S2000 where the bmw is about brute force... Anyway, I love all these cars but I can't have them all.
