Last fall the Province of Ontario (Canada) passed legislation to address the increased problem street racers are causing on our roadways. Possibly 39 "related" deaths since 1999.
Here are the fines:
50+ k/hr (30+ miles per hour) over the posted = stunt driving, if you are the sole offender. Result: immediate driver's license suspension, impound your vehicle for 1 week and a fine between $2,000 to $10,000, Oh yeah, we'll see you in court.
Caught actually racing another vehicle, i don't think you would be able to afford the fines and insurance to keep stewie on the road.
1,300 caught in the 1st month.
