Porsches are cool, great cars, but often owned by pretentious people. The Boxster is entry-level (kinda like a modern day 914 only better), so there's that social stigma. You know, the one that says you ALMOST made it. If I really wanted a Porsche, I'd go for a used 911 before a new Boxster. But then again, if I really wanted a Porsche, I wouldn't have an S2000 sitting in the garage right now.
