S2000 Forums - View Single Post - MY POOR STEWIE GOT HIT TWICE IN THE SAME DAY!!!

You guys are not going to believe this. Yesterday my coworker backed into my S2K and ripped off the front bumper. She hit it from the side and ripped it in half. I put the bumper pieces in the passenger seat and while I was driving home a soccer mom in an Escalade backed into me at a red light. I was about a car length behind her and she didn't see me. (Great job looking in her rear view camera...) We were in a left turn only lane and she didn't want to make a left turn so she decided to back up and then change lanes. It happened so fast that I couldn't even honk. She smashed both headlights, crunched about 1/4 of the hood, and would have destroyed the bumper had it not already been in the passenger seat in 2 pieces. My airbag went off so that needs to be replaced also. The body shop said that all the parts that need replacing are bolt on and that there was no structural damage done. The total of the 2 estimates is about $7000. The bumper is $300 for the part and then $$$ for paint and labor. The headlight assemblies are $800 each and the hood is about a grand as well as the air bag. The rest of the bill is labor and paint. I am so pissed. I don't know if my poor Stewie will ever be the same again. It will take at least 10 days to fix. Should I keep her or try to sell her and get a new one?
