Hey Dudes! I got to move june 1st,but if I can get the key the weekend earlier I can do it then.I will know friday if the other people are moving earlier than the first.Let you know saturday.

 

Still think you all should come up and do a Red Rock / Charleston run. Might bring some Vegans out of the woodwork...

Sorry that I can't go but my move is in the works.The next weekend I'm trying to set things up at neptune's net (PCH) June 7 @9am!

 

Gonna wash the car Friday night and swap the tires.

The video camera is charged and ready to catch the drive. I only have really good footage going up Palomar from back in February. Every other time, something has happened...bad focus, battery died, camera battery came loose. This time I will get the whole drive.

Morgan, I didn't see your post about not making it. Sorry for waking you guys up this morning at 7:15 AM to see if you were coming.

Good drive today. We did have one little mishap where a newbie driving a spa lost it on Palomar East Grade and looped it. Luckily, no damage. He's only had the car for 4 months. He just needs to slow down a little and get more seat time to understand the car.

I had a little scare myself driving the last section of Couser Canyon. Took a blind right hander and was expecting it to increase in radius and straighten out and it decreased. Front tires slid just as an oncoming car came around the bend. It qualified as an "Oh ****" moment. I hit the brakes hard and made the turn. Thank God for R compounds. Not sure what would have happened if I wasn't wearing them.

 

no big deal about calling that early I'm glad no one was hurt today and to the guy who had the close call don't worry about it we've all done it I was really pissed I couldn't make it

Thanks yes I'm feeling better
