Well you said "please", so here goes.
Don't street race.
I say it to myself too. It doesnt always work as well as I hope though.
I certainly wouldnt wind it all the way up to 5th on the average streets on the east coast. Thats going pretty fast. The highway maybe.
I have the same car kid. I know the temptation. Sometimes I get a little nutso too. But I try not to street race.
Thats my sermon for the day.
As with any sermon, do what you want with it.
I street raced in the S once though. A 90's vette. In second gear I was half a car up and that was all I needed. So I backed off and let him go. He knew it. Frankly it was fun but I doubt I was going over 55.
I drive spiritedly often. Particularly when chasing around with other S2k's. But it's not flat out racing. Racing is pushing the envelope. It's dangerous to everyone. Try not to. Do the best you can.
Ya know I'm almost 54. I can say this stuff now. But trust me kid, I have done some incredibly stupid things in cars in my younger days. Now I'm old and have lived long enough to be able to preach. So I do. Tough Titty if you don't like it. Thankfully I never hurt myself or anyone else. I wouldnt want to have to live with that. Wish I had pics of some of my finest work though.
EDIT::
OK I'm not done yet.
I should also point out that when I was a kid, and we used to rat race alot, (thats what we called it back in the day) I had to bury some friends. Well 2 anyway. Also had to get the tow truck often. My only totaled, flipped, destroyed car was my 2002 TI BMW. But there was a LOT of wrecks. Very few deaths, but some. So I aint perfect and never was.
