Comparing a pickup truck with a sports car........why? They're both purpose built vehicles and their purposes are very different. If you feel the need to compare the speed and handling of your pickup with that of a sports car, then maybe you really want a sports car. When I feel the need to load up with rocks and plywood, I realize the S2000 might not be the best choice and I should have a pickup. I have multiples of each and while hauling stuff in the the Stewie or the Z could be difficult, driving the trucks fast is just as much fun as the cars. And the trucks are set up to do that along with the occasional hauling rocks. Driving the trucks fast is a little different sort of fun, but I understand that if you don't have the driving skills to drive your truck fast it might be boring. And if you're driving a Dodge I completely understand your boredom with trucks!
