I'm looking into doing the whole clay bar thing, and doing the whole paint resurrection using a quality random orbital buffer and polishing products. Has any one ever used Griot's Garage waxes, polishes and other detailing stuff? They have a kit (buffer, waxes, clay bar, etc.) for $199 that seems to cover the bases for what I need to do. Any input would be appreciated.

I've never used Griot's, but i have used Meguiars Professional Detailing Clay before, with General Motors Finish Enhancer Spray...only because i used to work at the Chevy dealer, detailing.. Meguiars actually make's it for them, so im sure you can check Meguiars. But anyway, works like a charm, it will take off rust particals that embeded in the paint and clear coat, brightens up the paint, and even takes the hardest waterspots off. make sure you keep the section your claybaring moist because otherwise you'll have streaks of clay everywhere. Let me know if this helps!!
