I absolutely disagree. Having a great sound system is awesome, getting the most out of your sound system is priceless
I too have a great system (imho) MB quart top of the line separates, JL stealth sub, S-pods with MB Quarts Coaxials, and a big JL amp, and an alpine 9887 radio, 4 gauge wire feeding the amp etc.
Proper sound deadening will about a 3db gain to the output of the door speakers and deadening the rest of the car will keep the body from resonating and detracting form the system.
My system will sound much better when I am done. For the record I was a professional installer for about 10 years, a long ass time ago.
My goal is to be able to hear and enjoy the system above 100 miles per hour
