To check the CV joints Block the front wheels on a flat surface. Jack up one rear wheel and with the hand brake off, softly rock it back and forth while observing the CV joint at the diff and near the wheel. Do you see movement? You can check all 4 CV joints from this position. And you can also see if the motion is inside the diff. To check the propeller shaft CV joints it easier to do on a lift but you can raise both rear wheels with the parking brake on and try to turn the prop shaft while observing the CV joints.

On mine I had 85000 miles and the LSD was gone as where all the CV joints. I replaced both drive shafts, the prop shaft and the LSD.
