audio door uses

Ok, just because I'm a new guy, you don't have to pick on me....
There's nothing in the manual....it's a curious design....c'mon, please shed some light on the matter....thanks in advance for your reply and thanks for a wonderfully informative site.

hey come on, no one is picking on u. But seriously no one knows what that is for. But i often put in some paper (folded) and some name cards in there. However they don't hold anything very well. BTW everyone is very friendly here, don worry we are all still learning about this car.

Not picking, but really there is no 'official' use for it. Honda being Honda, though, I doubt it was just accidentally molded like that. I have been able to put sunglasses in there, the earpieces fit into that slot. Of course, you can't close the radio door. Must be for paper.

Hmmmm-m-m-m-m . . was that wineguy, or whineguy? (Sorry. Couldn't help myself)
If I knew what the hell the thing was for I'd'a told'ja. Truth be told, for as many times as I've looked at it n' wondered what it was for, I always soon forget n' get involved with the pilotin' of all the rest of the assembled parts.
So, like yourself, n' most of the rest of us . . I ain't godda clue either.
But that particular little bit of knowledge hasn't hampered my enjoyment.
(Yes halo, with the top down)
Be well.

I thought I had the slot figured out. The channel guide for XM satellite radio. But, nope it won't fit. (Too long). Maybe in Japan there is a special license or certificate you have to carry that fits. I would be curious to find out for sure.
