600s aren't that fast?
An older 600 maybe, especially if it's beaten to hell. Ninja 250 boosts some driver egos too since it has fairings like a sportbike.
An occasional rider might also be screwing around and just whack open the throttle in 6th at 65, but they're far from 'racing' in that case. (Been there done that). Most riders won't screw around with cars because if the cager does something stupid (besides trying to run a bike), the bike will draw the short straw.
Admittedly, launching a 350lb bike isn't trivial. So published ETs in the 10s aren't reached by most riders. But, the traps in the 120s can be reached if you hold that throttle open and keep the front wheel on the ground. This is the case in most street encounters where the bike is already rolling, even a rider who doesn't shift well is in good shape since 1st tops out at ~50-60mph. Ricers never seem to get that: if I'm above 5,000 rpm, all I gotta do is hold the throttle wide open and I'm a ghost.
