Ok, I see where you're coming from, but here's my take on it:
Weather: Um, SOCAL. Yeah, I think we had some bad weather...back in February. Might have rained that day...not sure. EVERY day here is top-down weather!
"...anything I do everyday isn't special after awhile.": In this car, familiarity breeds proficiency, not boredom! Don't drive it so it will stay "special"? C'mon...you're jerkin my gerkin!!
Enjoyment for the buck: When it comes time to get rid of this car (and buy a newer Stewie maybe?), I can guarantee that I'm not going to wish I had driven it more. No, I don't drive it in the rain (partly because it doesn't rain here), and I DO walk farther to Wal-Mart because I DO park it with a few empty spaces on either side.
Everyday driver?: No, not really. I do take it to work a few days per week, about 25 miles each way. But I'm putting many more miles on it than I thought I would. And having a blast doing it? Isn't that the point?
Having fun here at the expense of some of you, but like you, I simply love being in that car and hope to drive it, and take care of it, for many years/miles to come!
Life is good!!
