I have a '07 S2000.

When I have accelerating quickly (1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd) I seem to top out at 7,000 RPMs. When I hit 7,000 it feels like the engine pauses or hiccups. Is a governor installed to prevent me from redlining the engine? What's going on? TIA.
