The battery is cold and wont crank as hard as it will warm.

You have eased my mind considerably...It always starts, just acts like something has it ticked-off when it is cold. In MN you have it much colder than me...we only get about 1/2 inch of snow here. The winter days are about 50 and the winter nights are about 20 or so.
