I am a little surprised at the comments related to quality with respect to the Mustang and the Corvette (especially). This is subjective of course but it does surprise me. Never owned either nor have I had the privilege of even driving some of the other cars mentioned (Porsche, Aston Martin, etc). I have owned a MB and BMW and enjoyed the cars but I would have a hard time telling you that there was superior quality of construction and materials in those cars. Corvettes have a reputation and the Mustang is a hot seller. I think if I wanted the type of performance and especially torque the Corvette would have to be at least one of cars at the top of my look at list. I personally think the quality of all these car mentioned would be hard to quantify. How many would line up a Porsche next to a Corvette and find much fault with either? I read the car mags and I don't know if you can believe what you read but the differences seem to be minimal with respect to subjective and objective measures of quality. John H
