This is my first time posting on a forum just fyi. Just read about taking off the airbox lid on the intake for more noise and possibly power? My concern after looking under the hood is that this could make the intake charge hotter and therefore lose power and maybe even cause other problems, regardless of how cool it may sound. The stock and aftermarket intake inlets are all located either close to the front of the engine bay, like stock or closer to the ground and in front of the engine bay, like on a cold air intake. Not just laid out wide open, basically in the middle of the engine bay free to heat soak. Just a thought. I'm still gonna try it but it would be cool to hear from others who know what I'm talking about. THANKS
