Whoa ArT. 850HP n' 16 thou well spent????
Some time ago when the 429 Boss Mustangs were makin' more HP than God ever meant to be in one vehicle (so I've heard, those'r nasty, ugly rumors that I was aroun' back then) folks started thinkin' that maybe you could actually put more power under the hood than was really useable.
Bein' able to shift the state south a half-inch with a north-bound launch doesn't usually go hand-in-hand with that same source of power bein' useable for anything else by the chassis that it's in.
Sports cars (n' Stewie qualifies, very few do) go for maximum efficiency that only comes with a true balance of power/weight/suspension.
Huge power in Stewie? Even with all available add-ons in place that's gonna lead to (hopefully only) constant off-road excursions n' creeper sores.
Opinion: The max power that a fully worked Stewie chassis/suspension unit would be able to predictably make use of is more'n likely attainable with a worked Stewie engine.
So why go through the trouble of a swap if disturbin' an excellent balance n' the tin-knockin' involved isn't necessary?
Now, if it's jus' a matter of wantin' to smoke 'em at will, well, even that's dooable without spendin' 16 thou.
Well spent? Sorry ArT, not bloody likely.
Be well.
