I dont think at any point in time Java suggested that stock hp is all the s2000 will ever need. I think it was more along the line of he knows a little something about cars and what to much is.
Sure after you put a cage tub it out and do all kinds of suspension work you can get it to hook with slicks with 850 hp. Congrats you have a drag s2000 at only 5 times the cost that you coulda built a fox body or f body that will still run better.
I also seem to remember him saying that all the power the s could really handle could be obtained from the stock block. If you dont believe it go for it do the swap. After youre done ill take the stock rear trans and engine.
Oh and your question for him about wanting to take it out on the highway. Seriously I am calling rice on this entire post. 850 whp on the street lol you go get your 850 motor slap it into the 2800 pound s get up to about 60 miles per hour and stomp it. When youre done that I will take your shift knob cause its gonna be all thats left after we get done pulling your car outa a tree with tweezers.
