I'll admit I'd like to see a lower RPM engagement for the cam timing change as well. Its just too close to where your revs drop during a gear change. If you are not right on redline when you shift you'll momentarily drop off the cam, which is a bit violent. To me the VTEC range is too narrow. This probably can be done with a ECU change. The question is whether it is beneficial. Advancing a camshaft too much at too low an RPM is a recipe for reduced power.
