Expiration date of the S . . . ?

"The S2000 is expected to be discontinued before March 2008." Quoted from TOV (Temple of VTEC) site.

I know this has been tossed about so many times before that if this was a tennis match we'd all have whip-lashed-necks by now!

Is this reliable info? I don't know, but, sooner or later, Honda will say goodbye to the S as we know it - and love it ! I think we're all in agreement with this.

PS: My concern is getting a new S before they're discontinued. I have an '05that I leased and have to wait till July '08 to turn in. I do want some of the features currently on the S such as Stability Control and DRLs. So, it might be cutting it close but that's my game plan. I can't imagine living without an S2000 in my garage !!!

Okay dude, deep breaths. Deep breaths. Wait! Wait! You're a fellow Joiseyite! No breaths! No breaths!
I'm not followin' the current batch of rumors ( but hafta admit that I fell victim to that "GT" production that someone put together a while back).
I'm figurin' that even if they do put a cease n' desist on Stewie production, we, the faithful, are in good positions.
We're already sittin' on one that we've been enjoyin' the max, n' if the time comes n' that evil thing happens (whenever) we should be able to swap up to somethin' with less miles before the crop dries up n' the collectors start buyin' 'em up to put with their stamps, early-American wood-workin' tools n' big-block muscle cars. (I always have this vision of that room full'a crates that they laid the Ark of the Covenant to rest in in Indiana Jones)
C'mon dude. We can make it through this. So we can't really take deep breaths. Lemme buy, n' we'll go toss a few down until we're through this crisis. 'Works fer me.
Be well.

Actually, this sounds like a good excuse for a mid winter get together for the Jersey Boys n Gals. Maybe a Central Jersey location ?

Any takers?

That's cool Java, I ain't a groupie guy either. A groovy guy, yes, groupie guy, no!

Ok, so you heard the Javaman, a couple, three, four Jersey Folk, max!

Sounds like a casual time with a few fellow S2kers. Might be fun.
Maybe a lunch thing on a Saturday or Sunday in Feb. Just a thought.

What say Jersey people?
