hey hey,
erm, i seem to be missing something here. I am also into a bit of boarding and have an S. I really dont see the problem, if you are hitting the slopes and plan on taking your S up there with you then why not, yeh yeh ok it has 240 horses sitting on the back wheels waiting to throw you off a cliff face as for packing the board, well yeh ok thats a problem, dont really see how no one has made a boot rack yet? seems like the sensible solution to me s2000 snow s2000 snow hahaaa oh yeh i'm a bad man! do it wowowox Hatters |

There are some folks that drive their cars year round, with snow tires on a separate set of wheels for the winter. I think Blizzak's seem to be a popular choice.
Anyways, the best solution I can think of is to get a trailer receiver hitch mounted on the back and then get a multipurpose rack designed for a receiver hitch (you know the kind that hold bikes, skis, boards etc). I don't want a fugly hitch receiver box showing in the back of my car, but if I HAD to use the S to get to the slopes, that's the way I'd go. |

Wow;
As much as it makes me cringe at the thought of it, I've gotta agree with Halo (not the agreein' with Halo part, the thought of a hunka iron at the extremities of the car) that the trailer receiver hitch is probably the best way to go. I've personally been wrestlin' with this since I got my Stewie 3 months ago, n', though I guess it's possible, I don't think I've missed any options. If I wanna use my Stewie to take my bicycle back n' forth to different rtrails, it appears that the only way that I'd consider would be a hitch. (But so far I haven't been able to bring myself to the point of addin' a hitch to the car) Hope that this has been of some help. If nothin' else, you're not alone. Be well. |

first of all, thank you guys. everyone has given me a good feedback. and i think everyone has made a good point. the hitch is probably a good way to go, however have u guys seen those bike rack, rite behind the trunk that can also carry snowboards (is there one? ) Or even those on top of the trunk lid ones (orginally made for luggage)? Also, safety is probably another problem too, btw i do have a set of snow tire for winter cause i drive my car in any season!
thanks... sorry, my english is very poor.... |

Your English is very fine. I don't find myself scratching my head with any of your messages. It's some of my "English" speaking countrymen that leave me wondering alot. ALOT. But then, I imagine my "slightly" dated responses have caused some confusion on everybody elses part too. It all balances out. Be well. |
