Hey how's it going? New guy with a few questions.

Hey,
what's going on? I would like to introduce myself,
the name's Caldwell and I'm an automobile-aholic.

I currently do not own an s2000 but I am actually debating on buying one. I drive a 94 mustang gt vert, but I wanted to upgrade to a car that was still a vert but warrantied.

I was just really curious if there was anything I should know immediately before buying a honda s2000? I was looking at a 2003, with about 40,000 kms. Any suggestions? What am I getting myself into.

I guess the reason why I'm asking is because when I bought my 94 stang 2 years ago, a constant problem with the model car was a throwout (release) bearing issue with the clutch, and they would have to be replaced all the time.

Thanks for listenin
take it easy,

C

Aay Cald;
There's a whole lotta info in the posts that are already gracin' this n' the other pages. Sometimes the titles are helpful n' sometimes one subject mutates into a whole somethin' else. It's worth a read n' it'll give you alot quicker'n if you jus' sit here waitin' for responses.
'Hope that's a help.
Well, I'll give ya one thing anyway: with the Mustang ragtop if you drove in the rain at a respectable pace you'd stay dry but your back seat took a bath. 'Ain't got that problem no mo'.
Be well.

LOL!

Good call on that man.
Good bye back seat.
I appreciate the time man. It looks like a definite thing, so it should be interesting to see where the car leads me.
take it easy,

C

I don't wanna go blowin' any sunshine up yer posterior. It's alotta fun n' all but you're comin' in on the tail end of the year when you're not gonna get to cash in on as much top down weather as you coulda. N' then there's the little difference of adjustin' from Mustang grunt to S2000 efficiency.
Please don't think I'm bad-mouthin' the S2000, I'm not. It's jus' that it's a very different means of propulsion than a small-block Mustang.
They each have a place in my heart, but they're two different critters entirely.
If you can, spend some time in the Stewie before you make the jump.
Be well.

However prices for convertibles can be lower in winter compared to summer months.

Also depending on where you live, the S2000 is not all that great for driving in swony conditions. Some people just put on winter tires (eg Blizzaks), others put the car away in storage and drive something else.

Many people have mentioned that the interior of the S2000 is quite compact, and can be too cramped for some peoples liking.

Take as many test drives as you can to find out if it is right for you.
