Air Filter Replacement?

Hi All,

I'm due for another air filter and have been using the stock Honda S2000 replacement for the last couple of years. (I replace approx 1x per year).

Should I continue to use the stock Honda part or try something else? If so, what are the benefits of straying from what Honda makes?

hey man, you have had your s2000 for this long and still running that huge black plastic bow for your filter, try out a cold air intake or just anything besides the stock box, you will love v tec once u buy an intake, you could pick up 5 to 10 hp and it sounds phat too, i have the aem cold air, got it for 230, not bad, good luck

The stock honda filter is very good.

There are many types of air filters out there and many brands.
Some are direct replacements or drop-ins (eg K&N).
Others are part of apod type kit that you have to remove the whole air box and the filter sits inside the engine bay.
There are other intake kits such as Comptech that have their own airbox which provide cold air intake from outside the engine bay whilst shielding the intake from engine bay temperatures.

Price, style/looks, function, filtering ability all vary. Most aftermarket type filters are sponge type and are re-useable (cleanable).
