Slightly grinds second gear when cold

I have a 05' S2000 that I bought new approximately 2 months ago with 2500 miles on it. I have noticed that when it is cold after sitting overnight, in the morning going from 1st to 2nd you can feel that the syncro is not quite doing the job. Once the car is warm (approx. 10 miles) it shifts into 2nd like it should.

Does anyone else have this symptom? The car only had 56 miles when it was delivered. Is it possible some moron missed 2nd gear during a demo drive and trashed the 2nd gear syncro?

Thx

Warm oil always allows things to work better than cold oil. Give 'er a chance to warm up n' she'll be fine.

goto a good parts shop and get an oil that it good for cold weather... the oil inthere is probably ment for warm weather because its meant to be a summer car. royal purple synthetic is supposed to be good... talk to a dealer first... do they still use sae oil in the tranny? double clutch till the tranny fluid get moving
