I was heavily accelerating from an on-ramp to the highway. About 92 in a 65 when in the far distance I saw a state trooper pull out of his hiding spot. As with any time your aren't behaving yourself and you see a cop, my heart was pounding so I backed off to 75 the instant I saw him. At first I thought I was in the clear when he stayed well in front of me but then he slowed down, got behind me, and threw on his lights. He got out of his car, walked around my car two or three times, then came to my side of the car.

"Sir... where is your front license plate?"

I have no idea if he saw how fast I was coming up the ramp but it seemed that he was more interested in looking at my car than giving out a ticket.

Alotta law enforcement personnel have more than a passing interest in fast cars n' bikes. In alotta cases when you get pulled over they could relate the spec on your hotrod better than you can.
'Had a pair pull me over in my Healey n' the driver of the cruiser asked me to pop the hood. When I did he got this huge @*#& eatin' grin on his face n' he motioned his shotgun to come n' look. Toghether they eyeballed the hell outa my 327 Chevy that was stuffed in that little hole n' the shotgun pulled out his wallet, removed a 20 n' placed it in the hand of the original officer who was smilin' ear-to-ear. All that guy said was "'Told you it was a Chevy". 'Guy had a good ear.
Like I said, some of these guys have the same interests that we do.
Be well.

I ran three time in october, my best was doin 155 with a buddy in the passenger seat and he was leanin over to take a pic of the speedo and I didnt notice the black blur under the bridge. my radar went off as I passed him, and I slowed to about 110, the second I saw the bluberrys and cherrys I downshifted took off and grabbed a 30mph exit at 95. Thank the lord I was driving an s2000, if I were in a 350z the thing woulda rolled.

oh yeah, I lost him

You might wanna check out "How fast" on page 3. N' keep in mind that while many in law enforcement may share our love of hot machinery, after one too many times of peelin' meat out of the wreckage of what used to be somebody's fast n' shiny toy, they tend to lose any patience for recklessness.
N' should an officer give chase and die in pursuit, you're goin' away for manslaughter. 'Stuff we should be aware of 'cause ignorance of the law ain't gonna keep you outa the bighouse.
Be well.

155

I was racing around with one of my employees in his STi. (those things hall ass by the way) In any case we were doing about a 125 when I decided to teach him that my car goes to 8000 rpm and his doesn't. so we took it up to about 155 and blew by a cop who i watched pull out and flash his lights. then turn them off and reverse back into his spot because he didn't see a set of brake lights between us!
always nice to have your heart feel like it was going to explode for about 5 minutes.

At those speeds the cop has no chance. I had my sti up to 155 and I felt way more stable in my s2k at those speeds. no comparison to a porsche though they feel much heavier as though they were magnatized to the pavement.

theres this straight road in my town with a 35mph limit, i was doing about 120 in my s2k, and saw a cop hiding in the bushes, i saw him put on his lights and pull out after me,i dindt even stop bc i would have lost my liscence if he got me, luckly the road has some nice s turns at the end that i ripped through then made a couple of turns down random roads just incase, never saw him again

Well, I was going through TX going to CA. I don't even remember the name of the County I was at. It was a nicely paved highway and it wa sunny and warm. I was climbing to 137 miles per hour when I started feeling uneasy as I saw traffic up ahead. At that time, my passenger alerts me to the cop coming up ahead and at that time he fires up the laser and my radar goes up. I remember I was slamming the brakes and I was probably going 110 when he crossed over the grass (that little m&&&* f****). I roll to a stop with my heart pounding and he tells me they clocked me at 106 right after they saw my S2000 nose dive trying to seek that slower speed. I got the ticket I still have not paid for.

"2002 s2000 formula red -
2004 subaru wrx sti- traded in for s2000(smart)
1994 acura integra gsr- the usual mods wrecked it 4 times--whatever
1992 Galant vr4 #661 wrapped in a tree
old civic, and an old jetta-both wrecked
all purchased before my 19th birthday, sweet"
If I'm readin' your track-record right, you've had 6 vehicles, and, of the 6, wrecked 4 of them, 1 of them 4 times, by your accounting. And all this accomplished before your 19th birthday? Impressive.
Curiosity, but is the person holdin' your life insurance policy the same one that keeps supplin' you with replacements?
Sweet? Entirely debateable IC.
Everything's personal, but I think the list of wreckage is tryin' to tell you somethin'.
Be well.

I will tell you what, I don't buy that story. Let him dream about the stories he has heard and combine his buddie's cars onto his own dream. Interesting psyche...

Im still laughin. I bought all the cars, and I pay for my own life insurnce policy, but i put it in my dads name. My jetta was hit by by an idiot backin out onto a busy road, not my fault. my civic was side swiped by some dum teenager, my vr4 was rear ended by an 18 year old girl but I finished it off on a patch of black ice on a sunny day and wrapped it around a tree. I was rear ended by another 18 year old girl in my integra and then I fell asleep at the wheel and put it in the ditch. my only real accident from driving dum was when I slid my teggy into a concrete devider at 120, I fucked it up pretty bad but I regained control and drove it home. I went sideways in twin turbo mercedes and almost hit a curb once. that was bad.
