In the market for a new 2 seater...

but heres the problem I consistently run into. I'm 6'3" and theres usually not enough room in the car for me to drive it comfortably. whats the deal with this car? can I fit in it with the top up? I guess my legs are pretty long and thats what makes up for most of my height. in my current car (03 hyundai Tiburon) I have a good bit of headroom left, like 2 inches about. but if anyone else here is tall like me and has one of these and can confirm that its comfortable to drive one on a daily basis then please let me know! thanks all in advance

TBH, I think you will struggle.

My 5ft 10" fits snugly. Anything over 6ft would be a pain.

At a calculated guess!

Hi fleish;
'Afraid I'd hafta agree with Esstoo. I'm no where near your height, but there are times when I jus' can't imagine anyone taller than six foot drivin' it. But then, if the desire is there n' you can comfortably work the controls once in place . . . get as comfortably situated as you can n' have your meals n' mail delivered to the car. But, more'n likely you might wanna scope out somethin' with a larger cockpit.
But bottom-line? Get your too-tall butt down to a dealer n' find out first hand. Second hand info is okay when you've nothin' else. You wouldn't want someone else's assessment to possibly rob you of what might be the kinda ride that'd make you endure cramped space. Get thee to a dealership.
Be well, good luck n' keep us posted.

Gonna be tight.

Check out the new Corvette vert (C6). Insane amounts of leg room.

Height~

I'm 6'3.. it's no problem. you's be suprised how well you can fit. it's looks smallers inside than it really is when your sitting. Especially with the black top. makes it seem very small even though you have considerable headroom. the seat sits very very low so it isn't a problem.

@ 6'3" you will not want the hassle of getting in and out of this car.
Visibility will even be a problem but if you don't mind stressing all your
joints to have this car go for it. I enjoy being comfy while driving. What
about the Pontiac Solstice? Domestics seem to have more room.

6' 3" would be dire.

I am a fraction cramped at 5' 10".

Test DRive

Your best bet would be to go for a test drive.. see how you feel in it!

I have also heard of some DIY modifications to lower the seat a little - but in my opnion if there was another car you were thinking of, I would take that rather than have to resort to modding the seat just to fit in.

See if you can get a test drive and determine how comfortable the car is for you. Some people find the car too hard on their back, others find it is too snug/tight a fit for them, other people are too short or too tall.

350 vert would be another good option. But between that and a C6 vert ?

Well Fleish, you've got us all yammerin' back n' forth. Have you gone down to sit in one yet? (I'm really interested as someday I'd like to be 6'3")

Big guy envy. Daydreams of bein' able to see over the crowd rather than jus' bein' in it.
